Join Fade artists Harlan Bozeman and Andina Marie Osorio as they discuss their practices and guide participants in a discussion considering photography, archives, and geographical and familial histories. The artists will then guide and engage participants in an art-making activity. This event is free and open to the public.

HARLAN BOZEMAN (b. 1992, Central Arkansas) Lives and works in New Orleans, LA.

Harlan Bozeman is an artist and educator from Central Arkansas, currently based in New
Orleans, Louisiana. His research-driven practice has focused on confronting the erasure of Black culture and its histories, and the legacies of slavery and its aftermath in the American South. Working on long-term, socially engaging projects, he positions himself as a collaborator and facilitator while producing photographs that are honest in intention and combat established narratives. He earned his MFA from the University of Arkansas, a BA in Journalism from DePaul University, and recently attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.

ANDINA MARIE OSORIO (b. 1997, the Bronx, NY) Lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

Andina Marie Osorio is an Afro-Caribbean artist from the Bronx, currently living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Osorio’s practice explores the intersections of memory, identity, queer affect, migration, and Black femme sexual politics through assemblage, self-portraiture and archival work centered on the familial and queer experience. Her work has been exhibited at the LES Gallery at The Clemente, Webber Gallery, and Hesse Flatow. She was awarded the Aperture Creator Labs Photo Fund and was a finalist for The Robert Giard Grant for Emerging LGBTQ+ Photographers. In 2024, she was an artist-in-residence at the Center for Photography at Woodstock, the Fire Island Artist Residency, and the Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program. Osorio earned her Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the Yale School of Art.
