Arts & Minds at the Studio Museum in Harlem invites people with dementia and their care partners to explore artworks by artists of African descent and engage in gallery conversations.
Join us for an interactive gallery conversation exploring artworks in the exhibition, Dreams of This Future: The Collection of Peggy Cooper Cafritz.
This exhibition brings together a selection of works from a historic gift to the Studio Museum in Harlem by Peggy Cooper Cafritz (1947–2018) to celebrate her legacy as an advocate for the arts and her lifelong commitment to artists and their practices.
This program is free of charge and requires advanced registration.
Arts & Minds programs will begin in the Lobby and move to the galleries 10 minutes after the program starts.
Accesibility
- Interactivity level: Medium
- Program length: This program runs from 2:00pm-3:30pm. The gallery tour will cover approximately three artworks in the Dreams of This Future: The Collection of Peggy Cooper Cafritz exhibition. The tour will include a gallery activity.
- Accommodations: Folding stools, manual wheelchairs, assistive listening devices, tactile elements, and accessible materials will be provided.
